Leaning Wall Shelf

Leaning Wall Shelf

I was contemplating buying some new shelves to spruce up my place and loved the way the leaning wall shelves looked. I searched around the web and found this great DIY site Ana White which caters to female carpenters. I came across the directions to build the shelves so I decided to build me a matching pair.

This post is work in progress so check back frequently as it will be updated regularly.

Using the Kreg pocket hole jig to make the screw holes for the supporting shelves.

Test fitting the shelf before I glue and screw it together.

Day two!

I decided to route the ends instead of leaving it square. I think it added a nice touch to the shelves.

Because this is going to be painted black, I used bondo to cover all the imperfections and cracks that were present.
